Double Page Spread Final

I have kept my neon theme continuing on to this double page spread with it around the border of the text and on the text name so that the whole double page spread ties in together. I have placed the main image on the left because when we read we read from left to right so the audience will see the main image and title first before they then read on to the matching text about who this artist is, we are visual beings so seeing an image of the person with the matching text helps everyone to put an image to what they are reading. I've kept the main body of text in a simple font in a contrasting white from the black background so that the audience can focus on the text and image without so much going on around it.

Reflection: I am happy with my layout because its simple and easy without too much going on.


  • Ways Forward:
  • Having an introduction to the text
  • Splitting up the text into paragraphs so that its easier to read

The editor starts her letter with a description of what she wants to achieve in life one of them being "learning how to play the banjo" showing her more personal side with what she is currently doing with her life, so the audience feels a connection of that she is more than just the editor of a magazine. She has aspirations and goals like everybody else. This comes across very relaxed and easy-going letting the reader digest the information easily. She is also showing the reader that they should set their own goals, she has used her own as an example to encourage them to pursue their own goals. Towards the end she gives advice by saying goals should be 'practised daily' and throughout the year so it takes the pressure of doing it as soon as possible She uses colloquial language to round off the end of the letter with "Cheers!" which is often spoken allowed rather than written down, thus adding a light hearted sense of humour to a somewhat serious topic....
